Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted August 11, 2009 Leadership Team Share Posted August 11, 2009 Can someone please lift the current curse on H5 URF. It started at the end of last year when a rear bearing failed at Pembray. Thanks to lots of help we got her fixed. Then this year I have had • broken reak diff mounting (Llys y Fran fixed through lots of help from the club - you know who you are! • Throttle stuck open on last run (MIRA) • Drove into bank (Curborough quite a lot of damage, didn't do my confidence a great deal of good. Recovered and greatly helped by club members - there's a theme emerging here...) So today I decide to get over my 'worry' at Curborough with a sneeky test day. Brake into Fradley, brake pedal goes to the floor. Car just stops in front of the exact same bank I hit 3 months ago. Front hub casting had neatly snapped ... Currently awaiting the AA :-( Michael. Nigel Fox
It's worse than you think. The wheel bearing failed at Anglesey, Pembrey was the steering column failure. Hope you get home soon, see you at Loton.

The lead dog always gets the best view.
Chris101
Michael, Hope you managed to get home OK, it does seem that something is working against you. I had a quiet moment so typed 'Voodoo' in to Google, you get some very interesting responses 😳 😳 I do hope we will see you at Loton. C&L If only everything in life was as simple as a 7!! robmar
Michael - maybe you have too much voodoo any old girlfriends with a passion for dolls and needles 🤔 or can you not say anything unless is Tam is reading or maybe other class 3 competitors with a penchant for the darker side of things, plenty of likely candidates in that group 😬 hope all is well and if you need a hand let me know
Englishmaninwales
Michael Trust you got back ok. Potentially an unpleasant front hub failure, resulting in no brakes heading into Fradley...... Hopefully, this is the end of your car failures this year. Trust will be fixed before Loton. Malcolm
Tam
Rob - now there's a can of worms given that he's been with me for 20 years 😳 😬 The AA were great and he got home at a reasonable hour. Parts on order and hopefully the car will be ready for Loton Tam (keeping her pins to herself )
Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted August 13, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted August 13, 2009 Well, I hope you get the repairs done in time to get there Michael. Tell me, why should it be you have the power to hypnotize me? Let me live 'neath your spell, Do do that voodoo that you do so well. For you do something to me that nobody else could do! You do something to me, something that simply mystifies me. Tell me, why should it be you have the power to hypnotize me? Let me live 'neath your spell, Do do that voodoo that you do so well. Tam, so you and Michael started going out together when you were 3? Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty.

prangerman
Tam/Michael Perhaps the Calvertlet is already exerting its influence and is making clear that it will brook no competition for your attentions. Spooky... (It was good to see you both on Saturday.) Best wishes Peter In Memoriam DMG Edited by - prangerman on 13 Aug 2009 14:11:
Mark Durrant
Michael Sorry to hear of your latest problem but at least this time you did not hit the bank. I suggest you also consider replacing the O/S/F hub as given the age of your 7 it is likely to be due to fatigue....of course it is a good excuse/opportunity to fit the uprated front hubs Mark D
