Jason Plato
I would suggest you sell the instalation at stage 6 and swop over to a Duratec engine. Then continue to 265 or 300 bhp. dj here is my Duratec R .... C7 TOP Taffia joint AO with Al
Mike Molloy
Geoff - just out of curiosity, how much have you spent in total on all your upgrades? If you added that amount to what you could have got for a nice unmolested Academy car, what could you have bought "off the shelf"? (Of course, that doesn't include the pleasure of bolting on all the go faster bits and getting a buzz from the incremental improvements... )
Geoff Wilcx
I was in the right place at the right time to pick up a clean 6000 mile 4 year old Academy for a very reasonable £10K. All the above mods (less carbon) would be around £7K....okay there was some lucky buys in there such as the base car and lucky to negotiate the fly with the box for much less than a grand etc etc. So for around £17K I have a car to my specification and with known engine / box and diff. Also a car that I have learnt to drive to its full potential at each stage of its development. So really not too expensive a route to obtain what I wanted and of course all the fun and enjoyment of figuring out the development. My Winter '08 Upgrade was to a screaming DVA K05. www.geoffwilcoxphotography.co.uk
