Area Representative Golf Juliet Tango Posted July 22, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted July 22, 2009 Lots of beetroot gives the appearance of hematuria. Not alarming if you know what you have been eating 😬. BTW: I like beetroot (with a sweet and sour sauce). Pity I can not get the stuff to germinate. Democratic dissent is not disloyalty, it is a positive civic duty. Edited by - Golf Juliet Tango on 22 Jul 2009 23:01:
The Village Idiot
I always grow beetroot in my veggie patch and the last few wet summers have been very kind to it. It is especially nice done as a boiled vegetable with roast lamb Just had some onions out of the ground that are really good and some garlic will be lifted this weekend. Not sure how the squashes, pumpkin and tomatoes will fare though - any more rain and it will be curtains again for them. The rain (again) is stopping the runners from setting but courgettes go mental whatever the weather. Dicks
