Richard Anderson Posted July 20, 2002 Share Posted July 20, 2002 after I've been round a long, sharp right (or left, I think) hand bend my brake pedal goes all spongy, even though I have AP 4-pot racing brakes all around. After a short while the brakes go back to normal. It's like a lack of brake fluid caused by the high corning forces. The master brake cylinder has been changed, and the wheel hubs have been checked. Mr Locust Posted July 20, 2002 Share Posted July 20, 2002 Sounds like you need to check the clearances on your wheel bearings. Excessive slack will cause the disc to knock the pads back and give a long pedal that may even need a pump or two to get brakes in extreme cases!
