Matthew Willoughby
Is there anywhere to camp at Harewood and if so what are the facilities like? I've just bought a tent so thought I'd better check. Mark Durrant
Hi Matt According to the regs: Water is available in the toilet block and from external taps, one located on the end of the toilet block and the other near the main catering tent. Toilets The main toilet block with flush toilets and washing facilities will be open from the Friday evening to Sunday night of meeting weekends Camping is possible at Harewood, Tents and Caravans should be placed in the Competitors Car Park against the hedge behind the Finish Straight. A few people camp however, following last year DRR - Drowned Rat Racing are now known as Double Room Required 😳 Mark D
Tam
And this coming from Mr "I-don't-do-camping" Durrant As it happens DRR are planning to camp this year, including our youngest member who will be -3 months 😬 Tam Drowned Rat Racing
Mark Gibson
My recollection is that the facilities are quite good and that there is a shower block between the two toilets but I could be wrong. Regardless of that, the Gibsons will also be camping at Harewood on the Friday and Saturday night - so I will look forward to seeing you and the 2.67 calverts there. u01rsb
I know this is a personal question but are DRR saying that mini Calvert was concieved at Harewood in a field?.. That's brilliant
Matthew Willoughby
Thanks Mark - I should have noticed that for myself. Showers Mel's quite pleased about that I just need to find somebody who'll look after our puppy for the day/night now. Leadership Team Mcalvert Posted July 20, 2009 Leadership Team Share Posted July 20, 2009 No chance Being conceived at a sprint venue would just give TOO much of an advantage to a future young driver. "Old Man Calvert" couldn't handle the competition Michael
Mark Durrant
Tam I think you will find that I camped at Curborough in May and will probably be doing the same in August Michael If junior was conceived at a sprint venue I bet it would have been in the long grass 😬 Mark D
