Steve Causey
Ok, so now I've got the Yoko A539's on 13" rims on the car and I've looked at the ground clearance under the sump (K-Series engine) and it's approx 57 mm. The car is an ex-Academy car and I haven't touched the suspension since Caterham flat-floored it for me at the start of the season back in 2005. It looks low to me but are others running a similar clearance? Steve.
david nelson
I would think this is a bit low. I run ? 65mm under the sump and some go to 75mm. David
Adrian Williams
As David has said Steve most (but not all) run between 65 and 75. You'll get away with it on smooth tarmac but I wouldn't want to take too much kerb. Also if you have standard 150lb springs it wouldn't take much of a lump in the tarmac to hit the sump under heavy braking. Adrian
