RichardO
Anyone got one or more of these lying in a drawer somewhere? Especially ones that have an AX-something product code? I need some from about 2004 for debugging a mobile handset. Beer money / NTL donation on offer. R
Area Representative gileshudson Posted July 15, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted July 15, 2009 Richard, From mobilephonecrazy.com . . . "Sim card holder - Put your small sim card into this sim card holder to create the so called arge sim card. Some mobile phones need this adaptor to fit the sim card into If your phone is fairly old it may still use the old credit card sized SIM cards. These (Vodafone branded) credit card sized SIM card blanks will enable you to insert any smaller sized SIM card within it’s cut-out enabling it to be used in your phone. (NB - The smaller SIM card may require selotaping on its rear face once pressed into the blank to secure it properly)." £1.95 Might help if no one has any old ones lying around. RichardO
Sorry, I wasn't clear - it's the small SIM card itself that I'm after. Doesn't matter if it's live or not, as I just want to test the interface operation between the handset and the SIM. (Some of the AX (axalto manufactured) SIMs are a bit picky apparently) R
Tony Whitley
"If your phone is fairly old" More like "If you stole your phone from a museum" 😬
RichardO
True. Big SIM cards went out with spare battery packs Unfortunately folk very rarely change their SIMs (unless they move networks) which means any new phone has to be compatible with any SIM back to the year dot. Which causes me some problems in testing the rotten things
