Milesk
I had wanted to enter the championship this year, however getting the car built has taken its toll and time - I think I am there. I have a 1.4k ss with LSD, 6sp, Toyo 888's - Would this place me in Class 2? Also, I do not have 50mm clearence from Helmet to Roll Cage - more like 25mm, would this fail on scrutineering? Thanks Miles
Mark Durrant
Hi Miles The Toyo 888's are a list 1b tyre so this will put you in class 3. In respect of the helmet clearance to roll cage you could fail scruitineering. What seat do you have in the car? Mark D
Milesk
Hi Mark Thanks for the quick reply - I have a Tillet. I will try tilting back but thats a bodge in my book, failing that a foam seat however that starts to make your car look rat like? Any help appreciated Thanks Miles
Mark Durrant
Miles Firstly it is important that your seating position is comfortable and then it is a matter of making adjustments so the base of the seat touches the floor. I have a Tillet in my car and as I am in Horsham your welcome to pop round to take a look. If you bring your helmet with you I can also check your clearance to the cage. Simon.Rogers1
Miles I think you may find that many of use use an appropriate "bodge" under our Tillets. Its the only way.

Milesk
Hi Mark I took the runners off the tillet seat and made up adjustable bolts at the front of the seat. This enabled me to tip the seat back giving now hopefully 5 to 6cm head room with helmet on - only down side is the seating position is fine for me but no one else. I will give you are call to check out, if still agreeable. Thanks Miles
