hatterpa
Thanks all. I've been to the last couple of meets of the Penn Sevens and will no doubt be there in July as well - good crowd. Separately, I was talking to Caterham on Wednesday about something else and mentioned the click-start problem. They are fully aware and say the problem is more exaggerated on cars with sports exhausts as it generates more heat and hence the solenoid gets hotter much faster. They suggested fitting some kind of heat shield between the two, or else go the relay route (apparently Redline are frequently fitting these to solve this problem). Ultimately, in an emergency, Caterham advise just letting the whole thing cool down for about half an hour and this should solve the immediate problem. 1997 Superlight - The Yellow Peril - Sting like a Bee... P150NR
I have the same problem on my 150 Sigma so its not just related to K series cars. It happens hot or cold and can be 4 clicks before the engine starts. ☹️ Mal Stubbs
