philwaters Posted July 18, 2002 Share Posted July 18, 2002 I have a note of 1.9l, but I seem to remember than mine took less than this. (say 1.2lts) The routine is with the car on a level ground, remove the filler plug and fill until oil starts to seep back out the hole. I found this takes a while and rock the car back and forwards to get the oil to settle as well. Hope that is of some help. peterg Posted July 18, 2002 Share Posted July 18, 2002 My type 9 with Quaife sccr gears took just over 1 litre after getting it back from a rebuild at RRT - I was a bit worried in case it wasn't enough but on pouring the old oil (which I'd left in the drain tray) into the 'new' oil bottles it was just over a litre!
