JamesA Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 I have a ZF LSD and am trying to fit the driveshafts but the splines will only engage what seems to be a millimeter or two. The build manual says you can "gently tap" on the outer end of the shaft, but that won't do a thing as the shafts are not U joints they seem to be CV joints. EFA Posted July 17, 2002 Share Posted July 17, 2002 As the manual says - a CV will still transmit the shick load onto the spline.... Only a gentle tap with a soft heavy mallet though..... Put the big 41mm nut on the end to be sure you don't bugger the thread!
