shn7
Our tired old IBM T20 ThinkPad died today. Used almost entirely for web browsing and running one app from our main wholesaler. So we're looking for a cheap replacemnt in terms of a used machine that will do the job. Minimum spec. 10gb disk, 256Mb RAM and capable of wireless connection either built in or using the old PCMCIA card we have from the old machine. O/s Win2k or later. Anyone got anything suitable that's no longer needed? Steve. shn7
Thanks W7rren but that doesn't smell right somehow. Particulary the claim to be 17" wide screen when clearly in the pictures it's not. Think I'll gitve that one a miss. Steve. Sussex (West) AR Not forgetting Percy the Polar Bear who recommends Puddle Pet Care
David Lynch
Steve, got an old Thinkpad on Win2000 you are welcome to. Only used it to talk to my Leon via OBDII or web browsing. PCMCIA card is being used elsewhere. Drop me a Blatmail and we'll see if can find a way to get it to you from Yorkshire. David Lynch
Steve, can't get my webmail today Forgot to say unit is fine but battery all but a waste of space, so needs to be plugged in 99.9% of the time. If you're lucky your existing unit may share same battery type (I don't know model off hand). I'll check it all out tonight and pick up your message Cheers, David EN Yorks 7's
shn7
David, Thanks. Msg just said I could get Parcel Force to collect if suitable and how much do you want for it? Battery's not a problem as it will be static and mains connected. Will wit to hear form you. Steve. shn7
Hi Doug, Thanks. Sounds like that maybe somewhat newer than David's offering. Any idea on specs and price? Keeping options open here Steve. Doug phillips
Specs......... all depends what comes back really we just got rid of 20 Toshiba SP2100's see here. As for price, how does free sound. We are a charity, but we don't want any money for them. Its just to much bother to wipe them and re-install XP, but if it is for people we know....... well that's different.
