Bobo W
Over the past month or so I have been approached by two friends both with large amounts of cash burning a hole in their pockets who are keen on buying their first Caterham. Budget - £13k although will consider stretching budget by a grand or so if suitable cars come up. Model - looking for either Roadsport with Supersport upgrade or Supersport (1.6K or 1.8K) Will mainly be used on road with occasional track use so looking for full weather protection, windscreen and would prefer non racecars. Thanks Steve - One car found thanks with a very happy prospective owner Edited by - Bobo W on 26 May 2009 10:36:30 Edited by - Bobo W on 5 Jun 2009 16:22:
jonnyleroux
is he looking for a road or track car? we'll be selling one or two of our superlights in a couple of months - top spec cars within his budget. road-legal but no screens/roofs/heaters though. Bobo W
Mark currently reckons my car is extreme and that's with windscreen / heater albeit no hood so I don't want to scare him off just yet. I guess therefore the answer is no but thanks for posting. Slightly O/T It would be interesting to see how many people go straight into cars with no screen / heaters or whether it's a gradual process. Having had my car for 3 - 4 years I've now fitted an aero and think it's brilliant although I am quite attached to my heater.

Dave Rothwell
Hi Bobo - I've had my car about seven years (1st Caterham) and have never had the screen on (even though I have one). never had the doors or half doors on either. I guess going straight in with an aero could be a shock depending what you have driven up to that point but I dont personally think the heater is a big deal with the amount of heat from the footwell Hope your pal finds a nice car, cheers daveR. Horses for courses. (Would go back tomorrow, but need to keep dry on the commute!) BB
