What uk model cars is this engine fitted to Ford / Mazda ? year etc. Any one have one lying under a blanket being kept warm and looking for a good home ? Rattie Posted May 13, 2009 Share Posted May 13, 2009 IIRC, you'll probably want to remove the balance shaft assembly and block the oil feeds to it. Cosworth do a "Balance Shaft Delete Kit" for this purpose. I know the MZR 2.3L in the Mazda 6 comes with balancers, so I expect the Ford applications do as well. One to check. edit: Can you get the duratec Ranger in the UK? The current UK brochure only lists the diesels. I guess there may be used ones though. viperbl Posted May 17, 2009 Share Posted May 17, 2009 I bought a new one from speedypistons on ebay, 1250, ranger engine so no balance shaft. Not started it yet, but delivered in original create and looks spot on... I think he had a few, so might be worth an email mate to see if he has any more.
