rgrigsby Posted May 6, 2009 Share Posted May 6, 2009 Replace it! after Goodwood I recalibrated mine when I got home and everything seemed to be fine. 10miles along the M20 today and it went completly mad again, reading over 50% throttle even though the throttle was only pressed about 10%. Luckily I'd bought a replacement (£30 including P&P) so I was able to stop in a B&Q car park, fit the new one and recalibrate using my laptop (got a few raised eye brows in the car park when I got the laptop out) and it's fixed the problem (although I did manage to bolt it on backwards to start with). In fact it's better than fine, the idle is much better and it's running much more cleanly than it has for a while. I suspect the TPS has been on the blink for some time but until it went completly mad I didn't suspect it. Oh well, it's done now and I think I'm going to order another one to keep as a spare.
