Where to buy K series VVC engine?

Please can anyone tell me a good source for a new, or nearly new, VVC?

I'm looking for either 'ornery or trophy spec.

BTW it's to go in a GTM Libra, so it doesn't have to be modified for in-line installation.

I saw a post here a little while ago about a new VVC being 'about a grand' which struck me a cheap, light BHP.

The engine came with a sump, head, oil filter, various senders and covers already fitted.

The sump however is unsuitable for use on a Caterham. You will need to order an EA49 kit from Caterham, which includes a sump pan, baffle, new oil pick-up pipe,Starter motor,Air filter,Flywheel,Clutch plate and cover,Caterham spark plug cover (which is no use for the EU3) various metal plates, sender units, engine mounting brackets,a water rail and a dipstick.

Anyone want to buy a Black caterham Spark plug cover?

Paul,

Brought my VVC engine from MGF spares, Mucklow Hill, Halesowen, Birmingham

for £700.00 inc vat. It had done 14,000 miles in an MGF before the car was writtern off !!

Saw it running in MG before buying, if you do go for a second hand engine from a crashed car make sure the car had light front damage only as the engine is in the back of the MG !!! and if you can see it running first.

Regards,

Silver-7
