Irrelevant Posted May 4, 2009 Share Posted May 4, 2009 Ed - before stumping up for a 3.14 have a think about a 2.9:1 BMW diff. It might suit the turbo engine better (do the sums on a gear calc program). Better considering this now rather that later if you haven't had props made yet. Remember atmo Busas (that normally rev to 11-12K) have problems with gearing on 13" wheels (even with 3.14 diffs) and turbo Busas typically don't rev this high. With a Mitsubishi turbo, it'll start running out of puff at 9.5K. If you get a GT35R or something really pukka, it will pull right through though - that blue Westfield rev'd to 12.6K and I think he had a GT35R. What spec Busa turbo engine are/have you got?
