milo
Just taken my car for its sva test and it failed for showing the wrong speed can these clocks be calibrated .The tester also failed for not padding the chasis rail that runs across the footwell by your knees just under the fuse box ☹️
Andy Green
Yes they can be reprogrammed. You press the black trip reset button on the speedo. This needs to be held down during turing on the ignition The numbers will flash one after the other You press the button to increment the numbers does roll round Need correct number from Caterham for exact wheel tyre combination Mine came with number 8680 and was changed to 49306 so would have been way off. Inspector comlimented my on accuracy of speedo without propmpting. Also did my SVA yesterday and failed on no numberplate light and a few bits of SVA sharpe edge trim Will do retest next week Edited by - Andy Green on 25 Apr 2009 12:27:
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted April 25, 2009 Area Representative Share Posted April 25, 2009 Miles Glad you got it in before the IVA. Appear to be simple fixes for retest. Gaffer tape some pipe lagging on the offending item in the passenger footwell? Should be able to get a retest pretty quickly and able to bring it to next LADS meet on 6.5.09 😬 Paul Richards Area Representative - L.A.D.S.
