L7C Spare Wheel Cover (Land Rover)

Nifty

Recommended Posts

Having sold my Land Rover I now have the spare wheel cover floating around the garage. I had intended it to go on the Discovery but this uses smaller diameter tyres and so this cover is too big (so I shall get another manufactured in the correct size).

Pictures may be found here and here.

It is designed to fit a 235/85 R16 tyre, as fitted as standard by Land Rover to their 16" alloy wheels on 90/110s.

I had the cover manufactured for me by Fred Cutler of Bury St. Edmunds who does a lot of manufacturer/dealer and commercial contracts. It is a semi rigid design, having a plastic face where the logo is, and tough elasticated vinyl sideskirts.

Suffice it to say that this is no cheap internet cover (I paid over £100 for it) but one of quality that has sat out in the sun, rain .. and mud for 4 years without any deterioation to the colour logo.

To the best of my knowledge this is unique ..... until I get the one for the Discovery manufactured *thumbup* 😬

How does £50 delivered sound 🤔

P.S. Also available ... a set of 4 Boost alloy wheels, complete with wheel nuts and fitted with partially worn (20,000 miles) General Grabbers (as standard fit by LR).

Sorry chaps, been flatout busy.

Will, not sure about the tyre size, will need to calculate.

General Grabbers are definitely more road biased than BFG All terrains.

Will,

For info my 235/85 R16 spare is approx 31" diameter.

The Discovery's 235/70 R16 is 28 1/4" diameter and the wheelcover is too lose on this size.

Nifty, Will's computer is dead at moment but he is interested in your cover and he will be in contact as soon as his computer is resurrected. Give me a shout if you need to speak urgently and i will relay message. Cheers Neil. ( How are the crops in Norfolk)

Neil,

Crops desperately need water

We haven't had a drop of the rain the rest of the country's had *thumbdown* ☹️

Are you and Will going to Grant's tarck evening?

If so I could get the wheel coverto you, assuming Will wants it.

TF,

I may possibly have a sale of the wheels to the chap who is buying the Landy, but if not you have first refusal.

£300?
