Casbar Posted July 8, 2002 Share Posted July 8, 2002 The de-dion front wishbones I believe are different to the live axle ones. The later de-dion cars have uprights which do not have trunnions. Although you can fit the the later uprights if you wish. I also believe the mouting is different on the bottom, both onto the car and the uprights The live axle uprights with trunnions, is a standard Triumph part, where as the de-dion uprights were made for Caterham. philwaters Posted July 8, 2002 Share Posted July 8, 2002 In addition to the upright being different the wishbone will not fit onto the chassis as the live front end has a small spigot over which front of the wishbone slides (with rubber bushes) and the De-Dion uses the fixing bolt in shear to hold it on place.
