captain chaos
Could someone please give me brief overview of what's involved in changing one's dash board. Also a guide as to the time it should take disregarding the fitting/connecting of dials. Thanks

scooby dooby doo
i'll be doing it my car soon after the rebuild is finished. but i cheated in not siliconing the scuttle down and not riveting the dash to the chassis rail. I expect you'll need to remove the silcone rubber (with silicone rubber eater apparentally) and then undo the 4 bolts holding the scuttle down. it should then life straight out with the vertical panel. Except that loads of wiring is screwed to it... Once thats all removed you can lift it off and get at the dash itself. You'll need to pull all the connectors off the back of the instruments and switches, then push out the instruments and removed the retaining nuts on the switches. Then you can drill out the rivets and lift off the panel. In the best haynes tradition - "assembly is the reverse"...
