jerrypike
new pads for spa, fronts no problem, but rears: can't get the caliper piston back enough to fit the new pagid's! old pads weren't worn much, any handy hints very gratefully received thanks jerry
Swiss_Tony
Jerry You need a caliper wind back tool. This turns the piston at the same time as pushing it in. You can get them from most car accessory shops. They are the same calipers as a Ford Sierra/Granada. James ps I have one if you want to borrow it
Allen Payne
Alternatively use some long nosed pilers to turn the piston, but you do have to put a lot of force on the piston while turning. Regards Allen
Fred
remember to slacken the hand brake cable right back first then turn pistons back then fit pads and adjust the pistons out till you can just get pads in without rubing adjust cable last fredid=blue> eek.gif

Alex Wong1697456877
clockwise, but if you're using the sykes pikavant tool, don't wind it back hard all the way or you'll struggle to get the tool out. Alex
