Slider7
Can a VVC EU3 engine loom be used or (easily) be modified to work with a non-VVC EU3 engine ? “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away” Antoine de Saint Exupery Flanders AO - l7C.flanders.ao@telenet.be
rj
Provided they are both Caterhams: Yes. The oil temp sensor is located differently, and so is the cam position sensor. Apart from that I'd expect everything to be the same. Although of course you have a couple of extra connectors on the VVC loom for the ..erhm.. Slider7
Cheers for that Regin Need a VVC engine loom for my new engine ... and someone has offered to swap my current non-VVC loom for his VVC loom, both Caterham sourced parts, both EU3. Why am I asking this then ? Well, I still want to be able to refit the old (non-VVC) engine if this would be necessary and don't want to have to buy en new & expensive engine loom form CC at that point. “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away” Antoine de Saint Exupery Flanders AO - l7C.flanders.ao@telenet.be
rj
If you keep in mind how time consuming making looms is I think they are quite cheap from CC. That said I can't blame you for not wanting to buy loads of looms.
