pooh Posted July 5, 2002 Share Posted July 5, 2002 1. Are the two large brown wires from the alternator the same? Some later wiring diagrams show the two used, earlier ones only one. 2. Am I right in thinking an ammeter is fitted between the alternator supply and the fuse box take-off, therefore missing the starter load? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not necessarily the same otherwise but if it's just for figuring out which one goes on which alternator terminal, it doesn't matter. Can't answer your second question.
