Alternator and ammeter wiring - X-flow

Recommended Posts

1. Are the two large brown wires from the alternator the same? Some later wiring diagrams show the two used, earlier ones only one.

2. Am I right in thinking an ammeter is fitted between the alternator supply and the fuse box take-off, therefore missing the starter load?

The two large brown wires are the same for the purposes of which way round you connect them to the terminals on the alternator. Not necessarily the same otherwise but if it's just for figuring out which one goes on which alternator terminal, it doesn't matter.

Can't answer your second question.
