FlymoFraser Posted March 29, 2009 Share Posted March 29, 2009 Volvo S60 D5 SE manual with winterpack 2004 Metalic Silver £3400 I have finally found a replacement for my very high spec Volvo that I thought I would keep for a year and ended up enjoying so much I kept for 4 years. Spec This is a 2004 S60 D5 (163 bhp) SE plus winter pack (heated seats, heavy duty mats and headlight wash wipe, uprated hi fi , GSM phone, electric sun roof and rear parking sensors, detachable brink tow bar(fitted 12 months ago) . Maintenance Car has done 107,000 miles but most of that on the motorway and still feels fresh and creak free. Full Service history from a Volvo main agent until 96,000 when I moved to a highly regarded independent Volvo specialist. It had a new intercooler about 20,000 miles ago, new engine top mount 35,000 miles ago and various front suspension bushes and control arms replaced at the 96,000 mile service (along with cambelt and drive belts, tensioners as required at that service. MOT is due March 2010. Car had 4 new Conti sport 3 tyres which still have plenty of life. New windscreen 1 month ago. The car in general I’ve owned this car from 6 months old , previously owned by Volvo UK. It’s extremely comfy and the D5 engine is quite a cracker with a Subaru esque thrum, quite addictive. Returns 45 mpg plus without me concentrating on the mpg rtn. Most of the mileage has just been with me in the car, so the other seats look almost unused. It tows a Minno and Caterham really well, I have probably done about 600 miles towing with it in the last year or so. When I bought the car it had a couple of large stone chips on the bonnet and Volvo resprayed it, generally the bodywork is in very good condition with no stone chips at the front, a very tiny mark on the front wing that is so small that I can’t get it on a photo and 2 minor paint chips on the rear bumper it really doesn’t look like it has done the mileage it has More detailed spec For those that don’t know, the standard SE spec includes leather sports seats , climate, auto dipping mirror bigger multi spoke wheels uprated stereo with dolby digital processor and 4 disc multi CD, trip computer, boot divider, bin/ bottle holder. I’m sure I’ve forgotten some bits but you get the idea, this is a LOT of car for the money.
