Fishy Dave
Hello, Having just fitted my second hand cage (1996 De dion 1400 SS race car) and sat in the new Tillet I have realised my helmet constantly touches the bar, and that's before adding any padding! So, I'm after a tall cage or lowered floor. What have you got? Wrightpayne
Dave, I've not got either item for sale though I had a similar predicament to you. I'm 6'2" and needed a lowered floor AND tall cage. Regards Ian
Jon Crofts
Me too, 6ft 4''. I had Caged make me a Roadsport cage with the Superlight roof hoops 100 mm taller at rear. £621 incl VAT, fitted first time no messing & was powdercoated as well for that price. Much cheaper if you go for the straight diagonal version, IIRC £400 + VAT. Aztec Orange R300 Superlight
Fishy Dave
Interesting. I paid Caged a visit last week, and for both versions including VAT were going to be £600+ ☹️ So, I have cut out the part of the floor which the seats mount to (have left the bit where your feet go), and have taken these to a local engineering company to make a lowered floor in 2mm alloy. Have gone for an inch and a half lower, without honeycomb, so should get a drop of 2". They have quoted £180 for both sides, which I thought was good value.
