Roadsport06
Caterham gearbox oil is GL4. On first fill I think 1.25-1.5 litres will go in as there is oil in from the production. Its level is the plug so fill until it runs out. Ford dealers should sell the stuff too BRG and Yellow nose now with added brooklands Edited by - Roadsport06 on 15 Mar 2009 11:57:
Terry Field
Chris, Why do you want to change it - or is it just a top up? Terry 1700XF - Team Lotus with flares.
Chris B.
Thanks guys,i posted in a bit of a rush if i had looked properly the chassis plate tells me the oil is EP 80. I found the best way to fill it was to remove G box top cover pour in the oil till it came out of overflow, i had to cut down an allen key to get the drain plug back in though its a bit tight under there. I had to refill it because the engine and box had been out. Regards Chris.
