oilyhands
All V6 variants of the type '9' variants are the same, the type '9' is a 2wd box and has the *slightly better* set of ratios 3.36, 1.81,1.26,1.00,0.82 The XR4i was a 2.9/2.8 V6 with 2wd, it was made for about 2-3 years from 1983 Oily
Coose
All UK XR4i's were 2.8, not that it really matters! Coooooooooooooose
Paul D Jones
Never measured it but was reliably told that the overall differance with the input shaft is corrected if you use the origional bellhousing ie shaft longer and bellhouseing is longer. If you use a normall or more common bellhouseing then you need a spacer or new input shaft. Paul. See My Car Here
