Didn't get the reg, but I presume it was on it's way to visit Alec Poole (who drove one in the 1968 London - Sydney Marathon with Paddy Hopkirk and Tony Nash) who lives in our village next to our old house. Same doors though apparently... Having learnt to drive in an elderly (at the time) Maxi I had always felt it unlikely that they had any motorsport pedigree... Wrong again! here London to Mexico city via Beunos Aires in a Maxi ...One of which was driven by Prince Michael of kent What would we do without t'interweb? Sorry for the slight thread hijack!
