So I am officially confused. Are there any known issues with circa 1987 cars being too noisy and kicked off the circuit? Rob Walker Posted July 1, 2002 Share Posted July 1, 2002 I wouldn`t worry too much about the static noise testing at Oulton, it has been just A token effort and not to be taken seriously. A large, fat, ugly man with glasses does the noise testing and hates Caterham's. He also makes sure 2/3 max revs is 2/3 max revs! R500's without BTB exhaust and airbox will struggle to pass 105db at Oulton. He also insists that SuperTrapps are welded on to make sure they cannot be removed.
