Martin S.
I'm looking to try the new SS out at a 3 Sisters sprint on 11 April. Although not particularly abrasive it's a tight little circuit so wont be easy on tyres....... I will post an update on how they perform. Mark Durrant
I am advised by Mel williams that there only 8 215's in the Supersoft compound in stock so order now to avoid having to wait for the next shipment to the UK. Mark D Comp Sec

Paul Deslandes
with 215 or 235 on the rear, what size do you guys run on the front? Assuming you all run on 13" wheels, what rim widths do you use? How does the new compound compare with Toyo 888SG? Watching this with interest. Paul
Support Team Shaun_E Posted March 18, 2009 Support Team Share Posted March 18, 2009 Kumho soft is softer than Toyo SG - no-one has tried the super-soft yet as it's new this year. I used to run Toyo SG when most of the class ran Kumho soft but later switched to Kumho which was a big improvement. Lots of people are now running 215 fronts. This requires a 7.5" to 8" rim. Class 4 and below are limited to 215 rears. Class 5 can use 235 (which require an 8" to 9" rim). Martin S.
Well the SS performed well and nowhere near overheating. Max tyre temp I got was 36deg C (40 deg is optimum???). I ended up not taking my softs for comparison but Nigel Fox was on softs and his tyres were up to 5 deg cooler and I seemed to have better traction off the line. There were a few times where I was expecting to lock up under braking and didn't. Overall impression was that the SS will be good for most if not all events.........but time will tell Class 4 Zetec
