Superlights drivetrain/transmission noises

Hi All

Being new to Superlight ownership is the following normal on a four year old Superlight:

1) Transmission noise when stationery and in neutral - if the clutch is in at the same time the noise vanishes. Release bearing?

2) Transmission "clunk" when changing gear, from the rear axle - no, not just my driving.

I've switched from a classic live axle whose engine masked all other noises - and it had carpet!

Just trying to work out whether my warranty needs testing or if they all do this. Drives brilliantly but I don't want to find that these noises mean any kind of bill after my three months.

Mine is also very clunky from (I think) the LSD. Apparently this is normal. It's particulary bad in lower gears coming on and off the throttle. Cure: keep the right foot to the floor!

Cheers,

Matt.

Me too! Noises just as described. SL with 4k miles

Reassuring to hear I'm not alone. Thanks again to the Blatchat massive. Surely Caterham should pay Blatchat - they'd surely have a completely overrun technical helpline if it wasn't for this place.....?
