adeal3 Posted June 29, 2002 Share Posted June 29, 2002 Hi All Being new to Superlight ownership is the following normal on a four year old Superlight: 1) Transmission noise when stationery and in neutral - if the clutch is in at the same time the noise vanishes. Release bearing? 2) Transmission "clunk" when changing gear, from the rear axle - no, not just my driving. I've switched from a classic live axle whose engine masked all other noises - and it had carpet! Just trying to work out whether my warranty needs testing or if they all do this. MJS Posted June 30, 2002 Share Posted June 30, 2002 Mine is also very clunky from (I think) the LSD. Apparently this is normal. It's particulary bad in lower gears coming on and off the throttle.
