Mike C
I have 2 Multi V crank pulleys by SBD. These are much lighter than the standard GM units and are for use with the smaller alternator (which I also have for sale) Both pulleys are unused. One pulley has the 58 tooth trigger wheel on it and one is bare. With trigger wheel £70 Without trigger wheel £60 I'll post for free. That's about half price!!! Alex Wong1697456877
Mike, Are there still for sale? Why would I want a trigger wheel? Are there non standard cranks that need external triggers? Thanks Alex ----- VDU 7X Pics More VDU 7X Pics
ECR
The internal trigger wheels (later engines) are pressed steel and have been known to break up at high revs. The triggers on the earlier engines were apparently stronger (macined from solid ?). Mike C
Hi Alex, Yes, still have both, was just going to readvertise elsewhere. As ECR states, the external trigger wheel replaces the more fragile item on the standard engine. You only need this if you are using a steel crank and have an external crank sensor. Alex Wong1697456877
Hi Mike, Is there any downside to using the one with the trigger wheel in case I upgrade later? Is the trigger wheel a significant weight? Finally could I have some info on the small alternator? Thanks Alex Edited by - Alex Wong on 21 Feb 2009 21:26:
Mike C
Hi Alex, I'm sorry but the pulley with the trigger wheel is now no longer available Alex. The small alternator was bought from Anthony B, who had built up the mega VX engine. It was purchased by Anthony from SBD and is the small unit normally fitted as an upgrade. It's had dyno run time and been sat on Anthony's car but not actually properly used as such..... Hope that helps.
