ECR Posted January 29, 2009 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Having just made and fitted a diff bracing kit (thanks to MOG for the idea from their site) I was interested to see how much I was able to move the diff when jacking the struts down. I know that you can exert considerable force with a screw thread and appreciate that the diff is rubber mounted but it was an indication of what happens when you apply power to the axle. Having seen the diff move this much I am now not surprised that chassis failure can occur here on high power cars.
