7again
I'm sure this will work because I'm not the first to do this upgrade but how does an Emerald with 1 plug run my K Series VVC setup which has 2 plugs on the standard ECU, 1 black and 1 red?? I'm after a bit of guidance on the scale of the job and how much re-wiring please. Many thanks. I don't want to travel in comfort, I just want to get there quickly!! CageyH
It sounds like you need an EU3 to EU2 convertor. Have a look here. Only dead fish go with the flow....!
CageyH
You may need to disable the VVC mechs though. I would suggest you speak to Oily. Only dead fish go with the flow....!
jackb_ms
It is what I am working on. You need to create a VVC conversion plug to connect the VVC. What I did is buy 2 dead ECU, remove the pluhgs and a freind of mine did the conversion plug. It is not a difficult job The Emerald K3 can drive the VVC mechanisme. 7again
Sorry, should have made it clear that I'm binning the VVC for Piper 285H cams and uprated springs.
oilyhands
It's a straightforward conversion, some pins have to be moved from the red plug to the black one, and some pins in the black connector have to be relocated. Mail me and i will send you a schematic. oily
