catastrada
I'm after the service plan (maintenance) of the R400 and the R500 (duratec engines). Plus I would like to know of the engine of the "new" R500 needs to be refreshed as often as the "Rover R500". And, I would be happy to read experiences of people who have tested both cars, the R400 AND the R500 (especially with the quaife sequential gear box). Cheers. CJS
There's an 'Owner's Manual' to download as a .pdf on CC's website. The schedule may be in there? Chris
catastrada
Thank you I found useful information in it. The schedule seems to be the same for all (Ford) engines...
catastrada
Had no one the chance to drive both cars and would like to share his feeling?
FunkySon
Have only driven a manual 500 so I can't answer your 400 vs 500 question. Sequential is supposed to be very very noisy, I liked the manual in my old R300 and i didn't like the extra cost so I never went there. On the subject of re-builds, though, this was brought up at the launch apparently. Second post down here should answer that one. Duncan
irrotational
FunkySon - was going to post that! --- my mind is blank....
FunkySon
irrotational - sorry to pip you there and steal your thunder. I found your comments on that thread a month or so ago when I was trying to find details and opinions on the launch cars. Gave me a little bit more confidence about buying a car that had been thrashed around by journalists for 7 or 8 months. Duncan
