R500 CYA
I'm just replacing the head gasket on my car and I'm completely stumped about removing the camshaft sprockets. Haynes refers to a fabricated tool, but clearly I don't have the imagination to knock one up. Anybody got a suitable tool in the south east I could borrow? Ray Pearce
You don't mention which engine you have. But if (as I suspect) it is a K series, I have a cam locking tool you could borrow. I live in Uckfield but work in Crawley - any use?
R500 CYA
Ray, Thanks for coming back to me, I really appreciate it. Absolutely right, it is a K series engine, but I cracked it in the end using a piece of angle and two bolts. Thanks for the offer though.
