Help with Boonie Hound needed

Boonie Hound

☹️Boonie - ☹️ We're so sorry to hear the news about Boonie Hound ☹️ Many years ago we owned a rescue GSD who developed similar symptoms although it wasn't given such a posh name in those days. He was given pain killers and steroids for a while but in the end, when he became incontinent and could no longer walk, we had to make "the awful decision" even though the rest of his body was as strong as an ox's. It was the same with our first GR too ☹️

When the time comes, you'll see it in her eyes. The only comfort we had when Harvey was asking to go to the Big Kennel in The Sky was that two new bundles of fluff were about to enter our lives. The week without a canine in the house was one of the most miserable times in our lives, so if you have the chance, try to find a young companion for Boonie Hound - it will distract her from her own problems and she can hopefully pass on some of her wonderful traits to the newcomer before she leaves your lives. Just as with human companions, we only have the leashold on our beloved friends but we must try to focus our thoughts on the romps, the licks and the good times and be positive. Dogs are extaordinarily intuitive and can sense our feelings so we have to display positive thoughts even if we feel wretched.

With love and hugs from FH and Mr FH

and lots of slobbery licks and kisses from Baz and Pelham
