allegro Posted June 24, 2002 Share Posted June 24, 2002 While at Lemans, somebody very kindly put a very small pressure dent in the back panel of my SLR. It has not marked the paint, but can easily be seen when the light catches it. I want it fixed ASAP. Can somebody recommend a body specialist in the Wokingham area. I used one that I eventually tracked down through the Paint Technik franchise (wasn't a PT guy, but a known associate). He worked mainly on the south coast, allegedly doing lots of work on Rolls Royces etc, and occasionally made forays around other parts of the south. Cost was 70 quid a panel, but he was generous on what constituted a "panel" and did and absolutely amazing job (on a silver MX5). The bummer is that I don't have his name handy! I'll try and track him down but if you do a search for Paint Technic, they'll give you a local guy to you and they in turn will almost certainly know someone who can do this... I think there's also a franchise called DentsAway or some such. Autocar did a feature on them a while back. If you were to drop them a line I'm sure they'll pass you the details quick sharp...
