6speedmanual
Hi Merrick Potentially dibs on the throttle bodies on behalf of a friend in Switzerland, subject to some questions... What type of ECU control unit is it? Can it take inputs from Lamba sensors so closed loop system can be run with a catalytic converter in the exhaust? Do the trumpets or air filter require a cut-out in the bonnet? If the answers look feasible for application in CH's stringent rules, then may be able to deal. regards Peter 6SpeedManual *tongue*There's no such thing as too much BHP per Ton 😬
Merrick Linnett
Hi Peter, I will find out the answers for you. All the componets you need to change from Carbs to TB's it is a Weber Alpha VX kit so the ECU is the same make and programable. Merrick
Paul McKenzie
Merrick, Could be wrong but I think the ecu is only programmable by Alpha agents...might be an issue for Switzerland . Of course if the engine is standard, i guess the ecu will be pre-programmed accordingly? 6speedmanual
Hi again Does anyone know if the ECU is reprogrammable/remappable? I think to have any chance of passing CH regs it would need at least to be able to be mapped to get through the emissions test, possibly with a switchable "MOT" map. Alternatively, can the hardware be used with a programmable ECU such as MBE or Emerald?
