a pre '92 registered Seven

Hi all!

 

I'm looking for a 7, it will be imported to Finland so it must be registered in 1991 or earlier. My goal is to get it here in by march-april, but finding a good one is the main priority.

 

What I'm looking for:

 

- DeDion

- Good mechanical and chassis condition. I plan to drive it a lot as soon as I'll get it and because key suppliers like Arch etc. will be far away from here, good original condition or recently rebuilt is what I'm looking for.

- 5-speed gearbox, long 1st/2nd etc. improvements over the standard Ford item are welcome additions.

- Preferably Zetec/Duratec or 2L VX, but a healthy x-flow or k-series is ok as well. Tb's/injection would be nicer for touring (consumption), but nicely set carbs are ok as well.

- Power in x-flow Super Sprint - VX HPC region

 

And these bits would be more than welcome:

- FIA roll bar (forward leaning with diagonal)

- Uprated upper front wishbones with separate arb

- LSD

- Windscreen and wipers (mandatory for the registration)

- New spec weather gear

- 4 point belts

- 13" minilites (+ adjustable suspension to achieve the minimum ground clearance for MOT with 13" wheels)

- Lowered floor

- Current model leather seats

- Removable steering wheel

- Cycle wings

 

I've planned my budget roughly in between £8k-£10k, but if something really good comes available, I could stretch it a bit further.
