Dyrill
I have seen these mirrors on pictures of racing Caterhams but can't find any on any of the major motorsport supplier web sites. does anyone know who makes these or do the racers just weld mirrors onto something like an exhaust bracket? Cheers Darren Supersport 1.8 VVC
Wrightpayne
Darren I've got an SPA centre mirror and a friend shortened the supplied post and welded on a new fixing plate. I'll be using an exhaust clamp type arrangement though I've found satellite bracket fixings use lighter guage u bolts. Dont drill the cage to fix the mirror on as this will mean scrutineers will not pass it for motorsport use. Ian
Dyrill
Thanks Ian, thought it may be something along those lines- surprised no-one sells them as the finished article though. Cheers Darren Supersport 1.8 VVC
mattjamesw
you could just cable tie any standard mirror to the cage, as i have done, with heavy duty cable ties there is no vibration issue, whats more it is easily adjusted (or knocked by tall people getting in and out!!) should you need to change it's position if you pile stuff up in your passenger seat as i sometimes do.. ChrisHawkins
What about this one here I have seen them on a few Grads racers, they have mounting brackets but they are only in the catalogue Chris K93 AMJ
Dyrill
Hi Chris, Yes seen those - 17 inches wide seems a tad excessive though!! 😬 Might make me feel a bit inadequate I was really looking for something like this here Supersport 1.8 VVC

milt
I had mine made up by Caterham Midlands, as did others for this years Caterham Academy. I believe it's made by SPA Designs, braised to an exhaust bracket. It then fixes to roll cage horizontal bar. As the roll bar is about 10mm behind top edge of the windscreen, gap is wide enough for the bracket. Neil
