Dyrill
The alternator light on my 1.8 VVC has started to glow- voltage reading on my Stack rev counter shows around 12V when engine off and about the same when running ( started off at showing 18V tonight when cold and reduced to around 12V over about a minute!) so from reading the many threads it sounds like the alternator is on its way out. The threads suggest that the unit could be serviced by an auto elctrician rather than replaced; anyone know of an auto elctrician near South Bucks/ Herts- preferably Wycombe, that could have a look see ?
