Frying Pan
About 2/3 of the way down the page here... Any idea who's it is? -----See some pictures of the build here. 15000 miles completed!
Bellissimmo
What a shame to see a much coveted car just rotting away.
Billyboy
How sad to see a 7 in that state of neglect 😔
Ged
Great shame, it looks like a ltd edition Road-Sport, 1 of only 30 made ☹️
Blokko
Have you worked your way through all of the 140 pages of that post on PH Guy? Took a look at the first couple of pages - some interesting machinery -----Steve - Orange and Black ex Academy - now looking at things from a slightly different perspective. Frying Pan
Not managed all of it - started at about page 120 (followed a link from elsewhere) and got to the end. Now started at the beginning. Some impressive stuff isn't there. The Seven is looking very sorry for itself - a real shame to be left like that. -----See some pictures of the build here. 15000 miles completed! MusCat
A bit of a lunchtime search reveals that it's in Thornhill Square N1 - check here on bird's eye view you can see it under the tree to the left of the top of the church spire and it's on the picture of Thornhill Square (under the tree to the right) on this site Being in Kings Cross I could pop up the road sometime to see it's it's still there. Bellissimmo
Muscat, Deep respect. Either a worthy rival to Hercules Poirot or a man with much more spare time on his hands than anyone else I know. So, which is it? Or did you just ask the now-famous SM25T to find it for you? MusCat
Took about 15 minutes. Signs on the building site behind the car show that it is in Islington - a place I know a little bit. It's on a crescent with a road joining it in the middle. Quick scan of Google Earth showed Thornhill Square to be about the only good match, but the view was not good enough to see if the car was there. Looked for a picture of Thornhill Square to see if the architecture matched with the photos on Pistonhead. Came across the Walks in Islington site and it was the same view as one of those on Pistonheads and amazingly the car was on the photo. Then had a look on MS map site which confirmed it. Easy? Probably just lucky. Since lunch I've been looking to see if I can claim ownership if it is an abandoned vehicle but but this appears to be a bit of an urban myth. Manxseven
is it taxed ?? ----- Caterham BEC here
Frying Pan
Good work Would be interesting to understand who owns it and why it's in the condition it is. In some ways, I'm surprised it hasn't been trailered away and stripped or vandalised. See some pictures of the build here. 15000 miles completed! Bellissimmo
From the pics it looks like it may have had a bit of a knock. Perhaps it was an exciting toy until it showed how skittish a seven can be in inexperienced hands. Still a massive shame to waste it though. MusCat
Is it taxed? From the pistonheads photos taken last Thursday, the tax disk is light blue (2009) and it looks like it has a 2 in it, it can't be Dec 2009 so I'd guess its Feb 2009. Stationary M25 Traveller
You can check the status of the tax somewhere on the DVLA (?) site by entering reg and make.
MusCat
Followed SM25T advice - checked the DVLA - I was right - taxed until 28.02.09.
Gingerbread Man
If it wasn't taxed, it would be clamped/ towed as not legally allowed to be parked on the public road.
