Gridgway
Apparently the ZZR1100 doesnt have the facility for a gear indicator. So I thought I would ask the combined blatchat brains! Are there any (reliable) aftermarket kits that use revs and driveshaft speed? Graham
k80rum
Would something like the Datatool DiGi do the trick Graham? They seem quite popular. Darren E K80 RUM Website and Emerald maps library Duratec/SuperlightR hybrid
Gridgway
Yes, I saw that one Darren. There seems to be a couple of DiGis. It needs a "digital speedo pulse" which don't have on the Rad (no speedo at all). Any ideas on how to produce one? Graham
k80rum
Ah, sorry Mr R. Perhaps you could get a speed pulse using a magnetic or inductive sensor on a non-driven wheel; the same solution in essence, as a Stack or bike speedo would use? I'd imagine the efficacy of this setup will be determined by whether the voltage output of these sensors meets the requirements of the DiGi device. It might be worth running the question by Datatool to see what they'd propose. Best of luck!
