Nifty
James, What is the difference between a Monaro and a VXR 🤔 Our secretary has been looking at VXRs at about twice that price .. I'll let her know about your car, she may be interested. Keep off the straight and narrow 😬 Edited by - Nifty on 19 Nov 2008 09:29:
James Cummings
Compared to a standard CV8 a VXR has: - different body kit - 1" larger diameter wheels - shorty headers - different cam - 370 hp (standard CV8 330 hp) - stiffer/lower suspension - bigger brakes - alcantara/part leather seats (full leather on CV8) - shorter diff (3.7 against 3.4) - shorter gearshift - better intake Compared to a standar VXR my car has: - long tube headers - sports cats - upgraded cat-back - bigger brakes - shorter diff (3.9) - better gearshift - similar intake - uprated clutch (no heavier than standard in operation) - full leather interior - more power Plus it has the upgraded stereo head unit which means you don't have to retune your radio every 5 miles (standard Monaros have no RDS!). And it is waxoyled - Monaros come with virtually no anti-corrosion protection as standard. Superlight7.com
Tim Sture
Is there a possibility of confusion with the later (4-door) VXR8 here?
James Cummings
Maybe. I have for sale a Vauxhall Monaro and not a Vauxhall VXR8. Superlight7.com
Paul White
I see on another posting that you have sold your Caterham; you don't want to part ex another caterham for the Monaro do you?

James, I spoke to Karen at the end of last week and she would prefer a 4 door because her parents are elderly and have trouble climbing into the back of her current 2 door (M3 cab). So sorry, no sale there. It does seem like cheap horsepower *thumbup* Keep off the straight and narrow 😬
