Originally factory built for fast road use (ie no FIA roll bar) Car is in excellent condition, and has been used for European Road trips, plus 1 track day in France (Abbeville) and 1 Driver training day (Andrew Walsh, at North Weald) Bright Yellow with carbon wings front and rear Standard R400 spec including, 200 BHP K series with roller barrel TB’s and dry sump 6 speed Caterham box. Full Service History Caterham cars during the last 10K (during my ownership). Stack Dash Widetrack suspension Starter button 4 point harness LSD Battery master switch ACE change lights Aero filler cap Tillet seats Full weather gear Tonneau Heated screen Heater 13’ Superlight anthracite wheels with CR500’s Black pack Engine Immobiliser Hood bag Q/R Momo 11 Months Road Tax Spare clutch and throttle cables Spare throttle cable 15,000 miles Owned by Lotus Seven Club Member Price is a reasonable £19,500 to reflect current market prices. Nifty Posted November 5, 2008 Share Posted November 5, 2008 do they need refresh? at any point in time?Every engine needs a refresh given long enough, an R400 is no exception. If you race or thrash it on trackdays then it will most likely need to be sooner than if you pootle down to the shops. The R400 has no specific requirement for a refresh over any other engine choice in a Caterham. The R500 engine refresh times are based on racing hours/miles, not on road or intermittant trackday use.
