SV Gary
Does anyone have any experience of the new Titan LSD compared to the ZF unit or Quaiffe ATB? The lead dog always gets the best view.
The Pikey
Apart from new R500 owners has anyone got one? I have had one on order for months now. J
Neil_K
Briefly drove a new R400 with one fitted recently. Was 5 mins of controllable tail-happy antics 😬. Not a direct comparisson to a ZF or ATB but it certainly felt very good. Where am I?
F355GTS
I'm shortly to fit one in a 7 so hopefully there will be a report in a couple of Weeks or so Mark
Ivaan
Gary, Are you thinking about next year's sprints? I'd like to do this over the winter too. How do the prices compare between the Quaiffe and the Titan? Clive

SV Gary
Hi Clive The Titan LSD is incredibly expensive and you could not possibly justify the perfromance gain - I suggest you leave your car just as it is for next years sprint season 😬 Seriously, the Quaiffe and the Titan are around the same pirce i.e. £650 + Vat + £100+ vat to fit from Road and Race transmissions - speak to Phil. Quaiffe ATB by all accouts performs well but if you get one wheel off the ground it will spin. The Titan unit is an improvement on the ZF unit and is what Caterham are now supplying. I am going for brooklands, kumhos and ported head next season - have yet to decide if I can justify an LSD Gary The lead dog always gets the best view. Ivaan
Having been well and truely beaten by Class 1 cars ( thanks Jon ), I think I've got to look at driver upgrades.Starting by doing the lead in trackdays. Probably the best way of spending the cash. Will you still be in Class 3? Clive
caterhamnut
Mark - Grubbster - yes! 😬 - second hand AP Suretrac has finally given up the ghost (I think) - can't think why..... here and here www.mycaterham.com here Videos here 102,000 miles car

Alan Bowler
I am going for brooklands, kumhos and ported head next season - have yet to decide if I can justify an LSD The sprinting bug bit you pretty hard then Gary! Don't bother with the diff. My quaiffe slowed me down by a good couple of seconds. I reckon those Kumhos are overrated too - you should stick with yokos. skydragon
My quaiffe slowed me down by a good couple of seconds. Private joke or reality ? If reality, please explain more.
Mark Durrant
skydragon I can assure you there is nothing wrong with the Quaiffe diff just the nut connected to the steering wheel 😬
Alan Bowler
Sorry Skydragon. Sort of private joke. I'm very happy with my Quaiffe diff. Just don't want Gary going any faster - I'm having trouble enough keeping up in class 3 already I'm probably not driving the car well enough for it to be making a huge difference to my lap times - and as I fitted it before my first sprint I won't know. [not tried Kumhos yet though... but plan to!] AB
SV Gary
Clive Still going to try and make an impact on class 3 next season Are you? The lead dog always gets the best view.

skydragon
Sorry Skydragon. Sort of private joke. Thanks Alan, I thought as much. Good to see such banter. 😬 😬 1.6 K Series EU3, 2003, ex-SuperGrad car. Ali/Red.
Ivaan
Gary. Don't like the idea of "making an impact". Sounds very painful and expensive. 😬If on the other hand you're asking if I intend to end higher than you in the tables.....you betcha 😬 😬 Clive
