Where's my washer bottle gone!?

I've just brought a car 1999 VVC (see chit chat section).

After finally having a spare light day to have a look about, I noticed that the washer bottle pump is working but there's no bottle attached to the other end!

What bottle do I need bearing in mind I have the pump? I haven't noticed a mounting bracket but then again I'm not 100% where it would have been mounted.

Could it have just fallen off the pump?

Here is a link to a picture of what I've got.

I'm guessing I'll need one of these

And this bottle.

Lost your bottle! Sorry to hear that so soon after you got new car - won't be able to drive it now! Hehe!

The bracket may not be required. Many cars have a bracket brazed onto the chassis frame inside the rh side of the engine bay.

Good luck and enjoy!

The bottle usually fits where you have the pump. You may already have the bracket there. Pump and bottle are a matched item i.e. the pump clips to the side of the bottle and pick up goes direct into the bottle.

Seehere

Check to see if the pump you have will fit the bottle.

The wedge shaped metal bracket dovetails into a similar slot on the back of the bottle. The bracket on the chassis is a commonly used mounting location. The loose bracket from CC parts allows mounting elsewhere.
