altair or similar wanted pending my having more ££'s ...

.. until i have funds for a 7 has anyone an altair for sale; read about it in daily telegraph on aug 26 - seems a lovely solution until i have more funds.

 

similar pseduo-7/caterham's also considered if not an altair - ideally something pure/basic/unpretentius/hill-climb style for also occasional road use rather than (no offence meant) a robin-hood pseudo-7/caterham or similar, if you know what i mean.

 

i assume the tony weale in the altair article is same chap mentioned in any searches to do with 7's, etc - bit of a guru on the subject so one assumes the altair must have a good pedigree.

 

i live near sheffield/peak district area - budget is a max. of £3,000 please note.

Hi Carl,

Bit of a side issue but why not come to our monthly meeting this Wednesday, we meet at the Royal Oak at Ulley village near the A57 /M1 junction 31. If the weathers fine there will be a few 7s to see.

hi! many thanks for the message; would love to get to meeting but i am out of the country most of this week; will definitely try and make next meeting if i'm in uk - are meetings set as last wednesday of each month at this same location?

 

if weather is clement i'll come on my motorbike as whilst i am non-7 owner may be more acceptable than turning up in my boring ubiquitous japanese saloon car(!??!).

I don't know what an altair is but at 3k, I'd seriously look at some of the second hand Sylva Striker's on the market. These are to me, second only to the caterham in terms of performance and looks.
